FOP'S FPL Picks Gameweek 20

Happy New Year to all you FPL managers out there. Welcome to another edition of FPL picks where we hope we can give the right tips to take your team to the next level. Let's get to it, shall we?

GK: Jack Butland (Stoke City FC)
Jack seems like a rather obvious choice this week. His team are away at the Hawthorns against a West Brom side that have simply struggled to score this season. Expect him to do what he does best and get the usual six points. His clean sheets could be the difference for Stoke this season.

DF: Scott Dann (Crystal Palace FC)
He has been very instrumental in Crystal Palace's rise to the top and is known to chip in with the odd goal or assist from time to time. Also very good defensively. He's a confirmed starter in Alan Pardew's side. They are up against a Chelsea side that are still undergoing some reconstruction so should be fairly easy for them to keep everything under lock-and-key.

MF: Theo Walcott (Arsenal FC)
This is a very odd choice considering the number of chances he missed in his last game but you can expect him to brush that off against Newcastle. He's more likely to score as he'll be playing in a forward position almost as a second striker. Should get a brace at least against one of the poorest defences in the league.

FW: Odion Ighalo (Watford FC)
The Nigerian international has been on fire the past year scoring 30 goals in 2015. Expect him to blaze all the way into the New Year. He's got 14 goals this season and will most likely end up amongst the top scorers this season. He will be facing a Manchester City side that lost without Vincent Kompany in defence so the Odion and Troy show should be interesting to watch.

Captain's Pick: Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke City FC)
Xherdan has settled into life in the Premier League very well. He scored two goals his last time out and he should improve his tally against West Brom. At least a goal and assist from him. Good choice for CAPTAIN
