FLOP OF THE WEEK: Filipe Luis (Atletico).
The defender lost his head as he got himself sent-off in Barcelona's 2-1 win over Atletico. It was a rash challenge by the Brazilian full-back and he was sent for an early shower even before the half-time whistle went. This put a dent in Atletico's challenge for the La Liga title and if Filipe, one of their top players is acting this way we don't see them win the league this term. Anyways all of them have to dust their feet and get their heads straight on what their aspirations are.
SAVE OF THE WEEK: Darren Randolph (West Ham).
The Irish goalie got a late call up that he is going to start this game when West Ham number 1 Adrian took a leave of absence to support his wife after she took to bed. We are sure with this performance from Randolph they did not miss him much. Young Liverpool midfielder Cameron Brannagan received a pass from Jordon Ibe and he attacked the space in front of him deciding to hit a shot from 20-25 yards out and the stinging shot was going for the low right corner but Randolph was quick in reflexes to push the ball away for a corner. He was West-Ham's best player on the day, Adrian you better watch your back.
GOAL OF THE WEEK: Anass Achahbar (Feyenoord).
It was a "Van Basten esque" finish as the forward picked up the ball in the area, flicked then hit an overhead kick where the ball flew past the goalkeeper. The goal deserved a win but unluckily, Feyenoord lost the game 2-1 to Heerenveen.
MATCH OF THE WEEK: Werder Bremen V Hertha Berlin (Bundesliga).
Good game this was as it gave us a thrill of goals and comebacks within two teams that are battling at both halves of the table.
First Half was all but conservative until the 29th minute when Hertha midfielder Vladimir Darida open the scoring and gave Hertha the lead. Eleven minutes after Hertha doubled their lead as defender Marvin Plattenhardt scored to make it 2-0 to they away team and it looked like Bremen relegation woes will continue. Hertha won the first-half and totally controlled it and looked like a top 4 team that they're on the table.
Second-Half, Bremen came out with more fight and got rewarded for their bite as Fin Bartels cut the deficit to 1 scoring Bremen's first of the game. Bremen were still pushing for an equaliser but Hertha striker Salomon Kalou made it 3-1 in the 71st minute and it looked like the game had been won. Four Minutes later Bremen won a penalty and Bundesliga veteran Claudio Pizarro made it 3-2 from the spot. A minute after Santiago Garcia scored for Bremen to make it 3-3. Both teams had late chances but it was to no avail as both settled for a point. Hertha will be kicking themselves while Bremen will celebrate the point.
MANAGER OF THE WEEK: Sinisa Mihajlovic (AC Milan).
The under fire coach got a win that could probably save his job for another season after AC Milan beat rivals Inter Milan 3-0 in their Serie A fixture over the weekend. It was a game of who is set up very well and who'll take their chance in the process and it was duly deserved as the Milan took victory on the day.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Ross County (Scottish Premier League).
The Staggies knocked-out favourites of the Scottish League Cup Celtic as they thrashed them 3-1 on the day. Winning this game takes them to the Final were they'll play Hibernian. Congrats
COMBINED TEAM OF THE WEEK: 3-5-2
GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan).
The 16 year old has established himself as a definite starter in this Milan team and he probably had the game of his life as AC Milan went on to thrash rivals Inter 3-0 in their Serie A fixture over the weekend. The win takes Milan to 6th place 6 points adrift the Champions League spot.
CB: Alex (AC Milan).
The veteran Brazilian had a solid game in AC Milan's 3-0 win over rivals Inter. He limited Mauro Icardi and the rest of the Inter attack which possibly helped in frustrating their rivals as they also missed a penalty in the game. Alex scored the opener for Milan on the night and Milan will need more solid performances from Alex at least before he hangs his boots.
CB: Eric Dier (Tottenham).
He was used at centre-halve in this game and he was solid as usual. He got himself a goal which he would love to have but was unlucky not to have kept a clean sheet. Tottenham beat Colchester 4-1 which saw them get a 5th round draw against Crystal Palace.
CB: Calum Chambers (Arsenal).
Rarely gets starts for Arsenal but when he has been called he has put up a performance. Calum operated at right-back for Arsenal in their 2-1 FA Cup win over Burnley and he scored a beauty. One to always remember.
CM: Paul Pogba (Juventus).
He should be a main part of the pack for the Old Lady because his performances are influential to the team as always. Pogba scored and assisted as Juventus thrashed Chievo 4-0 in their Serie A fixture which saw them remain second in the Serie A, 2 points behind Napoli who are at the top of the table.
CM: Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich).
Lahm is just football played simple. His ball sense is second to none and he's control of the midfield is 10/10. He set-up a goal in Bayern's 2-0 win over Hoffenheim. The win takes them eight points clear in the Bundesliga.
RW: Nacer Chadli (Tottenham).
Chadli has now scored in 3 games in a row for Spurs and he netted a brace in their 4-1 win over Colchester and has looked on form since he has been in the starting eleven. Tottenham will need good performances from him and the rest of the pack if they're looking to cement top four or should we say the league?
AM: Oscar (Chelsea).
Has been one of Chelsea's brightest players since Guus Hiddink took charge in December and he continued his great form with a hat-trick against MK Dons, helping Chelsea to win the game 5-1. The victory got them a mouth watering 5th round tie versus Manchester City.
LW: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid).
The explosive forward got a routine hat-trick as Real thrashed Espanyol 6-0 for the second time this season. These goals makes him joint top goal scorer in La Liga with Luis Suarez.
ST: Chuba Akpom (Hull City).
The Arsenal Loanee got a hat-trick as Hull thrashed Bury 3-1 on route to the 5th round of the FA Cup. Sad he won't be able to continue his scoring form in the cup as Hull face Akpom's Parent Club Arsenal in the 5th round of the cup competition.
ST: Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City).
The 19-year old got his first club professional hat-trick in City's 4-0 win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup. He also had a hand in the 4th goal as he miss kicked an assist to Raheem Sterling.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City).

After he flourished at the U-17 World Cup in Dubai were he was Player of the tournament and runner-up for top goal scorer the young man has not looked back. People were a bit skeptical about him choosing Manchester City because of their lack of using youth products and he totally kept our mouth shut as he been queuing up performances lately. Kelechi has scored 8 goals this season in 16 appearances for the Citizens, now that's a good return. He is definitely one for the future and with Pep coming in big things are certain in this young man's future.
