PLAYS OF THE WEEK (09/02/16).

Another crazy footballing week has passed and it was time for clubs to unleash their last minute signings. And there were exciting matches as usual, let's get into PLAYS OF THE WEEK.

FLOP OF THE WEEK: Gary Neville (Valencia).

He has had a tough start to life in management and every game seems to be a nightmare for the Englishman. He had a torrid week first losing 7-0 Barcelona in their Copa Del Rey semi-finals and then lost away to Real Betis 1-0 in Valencia's La Liga fixture. Neville is still looking for his first win in the league as manager of Valencia. On entering the team bus he got loads of abuse from the Valencia faithful and if results still remain like this, we think he is only good enough for the studio.

GOAL OF THE WEEK: Jamie Vardy (Leicester City).

The England International is having the season of his life and he is doing things that are really a fairy tale after scoring this beauty. Leicester faced Liverpool in their mid-week Premier League fixture and Vardy scored two good goals in which one of them was our goal of the week. Riyad Mahrez picked up the ball in half beating two Liverpool players then hit a 60 yard pass which Vardy chased and met the ball with a half volley from a tight angle from outside the area, beating Simon Mignolet who was off his line. This was a beater that got the whole crowd buzzing, even Jurgen Klopp taught of clapping for the goal.

SAVE OF THE WEEK: Fraser Forster (Southampton).

Southampton have kept 5 clean sheets in a row since Forster came back in between the post and he has been like a new signing for the the saints. Forster made a total ten saves in Southampton's mid-week draw against Arsenal and one of the saves was selected as our save of the week. Bellerin got the ball down the right flank, then dipped a delightful cross which Olivier Giroud flicked on to Mesut Ozil who was inches away from Forster, but the big goalie was able to push the ball away by making himself big and flapped his hands pushing the ball away from his goal after Mesut Ozil toe poked the ball in front of him.

MATCH OF THE WEEK: Hellas Verona V Inter-Milan (Serie A).

This was a game that saw 4th place take on last on the table, so it looked like a done deal for Milan side but twist happened in this Serie A fixture, let's get into it.

First-half was straight up into gear as Inter took the lead through Jeison Murillo who was assisted by Marcelo Brozovic. It did not take long for us to see the second goal as 5 minutes later Filip Helander got the equaliser for Verona to make it 1-1. Three minutes later Eros Pisano made it 2-1 to Verona as the basement men took the lead and looked in control. The first-half finished 2-1.

Second-half and Verona were still in control as Inter were trying to force an equaliser. All their pressure went down the drain when Artur Ionita made it 3-1 to Verona. This looked like a giant killing in cards and Verona totally had this game in control. Inter did not give up at all as captain Mauro Icardi made it 3-2 to rally his troops for an equaliser. They eventually got it as substitute Ivan Perisic made it 3-3 with 10 minutes to go. Now Verona were holding firm for the point after they were pegged back and they were successful in gaining a point as the game finished 3-3. It is very weird seeing a game that has Roberto Mancini with 6 goals, things are changing.

MANAGER OF THE WEEK: Claudio Ranieri (Leicester City).

His team defended as a unit and countered attacked with pace, precision and of course taking of their chances when it came. Leicester are now bookies favourites to win the league, they're no more outsiders, they are here to win.
