FLOP OF THE WEEK: Miralem Pjanic (AS Roma).

Pjanic has been on form in recent weeks scoring goals and assisting his teammates as well but he got sent-off stupidly in Roma's 1-0 loss to Inter-Milan over the weekend. He was yellow carded earlier for a rash challenge and then the second was a deliberate handball which saw him get sent off. He will miss the crucial derby match against Lazio next weekend.
GOAL OF THE WEEK: Paul Pogba (Juventus).
It was the Turin derby over the weekend and Juventus had to show how champions rule against their next door neighbours and they did it in style as they beat Torino 1-0, and a class goal was scored. Juventus were in control of possession as Pogba got the ball in the midfield, drove forward with a power run then lobbed the Torino goalie from 30 to 35 yards out. Class goal from the "OLD LADY" number 10.
SAVE OF THE WEEK: Jack Butland (Stoke City).
The young England International goal-keeper self handedly salvaged a point for Stoke City as he made save upon save against Newcastle in their Premier League fixture over the weekend. It was all Newcastle on the day while Stoke pilled up the pressure. Ayoze Perez was over a set-piece which he delivered into the Stoke City penalty area and found the head of Jamal Lascelles, who hit a bullet header but Butland reflexes were great as he quickly stretched to push the ball over the bar. The Newcastle manager Steve McClaren said after the game that the English national team's position for Goalkeeper is already sorted as Joe Hart and Jack Butland look secure.
MATCH OF THE WEEK: Chelsea V Liverpool (Barclays Premier League).
Both teams were at the wrong side of the Barclays Premier league table and for both teams this match was crucial in their bid to join the elite at the top of the table. Chelsea had to stop their dip in form and and the new sheriff in town Jurgen Klopp was looking for his first win in the premier league as Liverpool boss.
Chelsea pulled the first straw as Ramires headed in a cross from full-back Cesar Azpilicueta to make it 1-0 to the blues as early as the 4th minute. The game was all but conservative as chances were limited throughout the first half until stoppage time were Phillipe Coutinho found some space beat his marker and curled in the equaliser to make it 1-1.
It was going to be all boiled up in the second-half and both teams made it an interesting affair as we got some end to end attacking football from both sides. In the 74th minute substitute Christian Benteke set up coutinho to curl in his second of the day and made it 2-1 Liverpool. Chelsea right now were chasing the game and payed no attention to defending as Christian Benteke got the ball in the box to drill in a third for Liverpool and made it 3-1. The blue gloom was all over Chelsea as Jose and his team were staring at another loss on their cards. 3-1 it finished Liverpool move up, Chelsea still remain in the bottom half of the table.
MANAGER OF THE WEEK: Carlos Carvalhal (Sheffield Wednesday).
The Portuguese Coach stole the headlines as he rallied his troops to beat Arsenal in their Capital One cup tie last mid-week. It was a comprehensive win as Sheffield Wednesday trashed Arsenal 3-0 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition. Sheffield were resolute and hard to breakdown, plus they took their chances whenever they sniffed one.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga).
Frankfurt were the first team in Germany to stop Bayern Munich from winning a game this season as they hustled a draw from the German Champions, kudos.
COMBINED TEAM OF THE WEEK: 4-4-1-1
GK: Samir Handanovic (Inter Milan).
The veteran goalie was key for Inter as they salvaged a 1-0 win over title rivals Roma. Handanovic made up to 8 saves to help his team get all 3 points which sees them top of the Serie A table.
RB: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal).
Rumours came out this week that he used to be a striker, he is definitely setting a trend for this right full-back position. He stopped made two goal line clearances in Arsenal's 3-0 win against Swansea plus was able to deal with the threat called Montero. The result sees Arsenal joint top in the Premier League with Manchester City.
CB: Gary Medel (Inter-Milan).
"The Pitbull" always passionate on the pitch and his character showed on the day as Inter kept a clean sheet in their 1-0 win against Roma in Serie A top of the table clash. Just to wrap it all up he scored the winning goal.
CB: Martin Skrtel (Liverpool).
Good defensive performance from the Slovakian as he kept Diego Costa quiet through out the game which saw Liverpool take all three points at Stamford Bridge defeating the Blues 3-1 in the process.
LB: Marcelo (Real Madrid).
The left-back has been on great form in recent weeks and also helped Real Madrid beat Las Palmas 3-1 in their LA LIGA fixture, recording an assist.
CM: Paul Pogba (Juventus).
Scored what was touted to be a screamer in the turin derby which Juventus won 2-1 by beating Torino. He was good on the day.
CM: Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Dortmund).
The Armenian captain has been on crazy form this term and he showed his quality in Dortmund's 3-1 win against Werder Bremen. He scored a goal and had a brace of assists.
LW: Marco Reus (Dortmund).
He scored a brace against Werder Bremen which saw them win 3-1 and reduce the point gap on the Bundesliga table to 5 points.
RW: Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City).
The leicester City forward helped to rally his troops in their 3-2 win over West-Brom, scoring a brace in the process.
AM: Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool).
The Brazilian lad scored two great goals against Chelsea as he helped Klopp and the Kop to victory of Chelsea in their Premier League fixture.
ST: Arouna Kone (Everton).
Scored a hat-trick and recorded an assist as Everton thrashed Sunderland 6-2 in their Barclays Premier League fixture over the weekend.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Arouna Kone (Everton).
After two injury ravaged seasons with the club, Arouna Kone looks fit as a fiddle and with his stats this season the 31 year old is looking like fine wine. Kone has scored 5 goals and recorded 3 assists for Everton this season. Also he is the 5th Ivorian to score a hat-trick in the Premier League. Looking Good Looking Good.
