FLOP OF THE WEEK: Nemanja Matic (Chelsea).
Chelsea's blues are still singing and their form doesn't look like it's going to change anytime soon. Chelsea lost to West-Ham over the weekend and Matic got sent-off stupidly. Yes the first yellow card was about taking one for the team but the second was totally uncalled for as he impeded Diafra Sakho down the flanks and got a ridiculous second yellow which automatically got him sent off reducing Chelsea to 10 men.
GOAL OF THE WEEK: Hulk (Zenit St Petersburg).
The Brazilian forward has been on great form this season scoring 11 goals in all competitions and his goal against Lyon was out of this world. Hulk bullied his opponent off the ball then ran through the Lyon midfield like hot knife slicing butter, and from 30 metres out he hit a stinging shot that beat the Lyon goalie. Zenit won the game 3-1.
SAVE OFTHE WEEK: Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich).
Arsenal V Bayern Munich was the peak of matches last week and it definitely lived to the hype. It was a great game of football that gave us the total package and our save of the week. Arsenal were on the attack as Alexis and Nacho Monreal linked-up on the left and the latter got to the by-line and hit a well levelled cross that met the head of Theo Walcott who taught he scored after he placed his header but Manuel Neuer was quick to dive and push the ball out firmly with his left hand.
MATCH OF THE WEEK: Bayer Leverkusen V AS Roma (Uefa Champions League).
Great game of football this was between German and Italian giants, epic battle on the day and am sure the only thing that suffered on the night was the turf.
Brilliant link-up play from from Leverkusen through the midfield which made Wendell find Calhanoglu down the flanks, the latter then drove into the box to and crossed but his cross was handled by Roma full-back Torosidis in the area which gave Bayern04 a penalty and it was slotted home by Chicharito to make it 1-0 to Leverkusen. It wasn't long before Leverkusen got their second as they pressured the Roma defense into losing the ball, Chicharito was on to the ball and quickly fed Calhanoglu, the playmaker then dropped a measured pass that disrupted the Roma defense making Chicharito 1-on-1 with Roma goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, Chicharito first shot was spilled back to him and at the second attempt he made no mistake 2-0 Leverkusen. It was Roma's turn to charge and a corner-kick from Miralem Pjanic was not cleared properly by the Leverkusen defense, Manolas headed the ball with hope back into the area,it fell to De Rossi and he controlled with his chest slotting the ball home afterwards. Roma pegged one back made it 2-1 on the night. The first-half drama was not over as Roma had a set piece situation which Pjanic sent in a dangerous ball into the Leverkusen defence and first to react was Daniele De Rossi as he bundled the ball home to make it 2-2. Over 3.5 goals in first-half, mouth watering.
The vibe did not stop in the second-half as Roma picked up from were they stopped in the first interval. Another set-piece situation but this time Pjanic scored directly which left the Leverkusen goalie rooted to his spot 3-2 Roma. Roma doubled their lead when Gervinho broke into the box by beating his marker then squared to Iago Falque who buried the ball into the back of the net and made it 4-2 Roma. At this point all plaudits would have gone to Roma for their courageous display but Leverkusen were not done yet. Kevin Kampl found himself at the edge of the box and he hit a curling shot that beat Szczesny and made it 4-3. Kampl was also involved in the Leverkusen's fourth, great skill from the midfielder beating a Roma defender in the process then sent in a through pass which found full-back Wendell, Wendell then drilled a cross across the box that met substitute Ahmed Mehmed who tapped in the ball from close range and that made it 4-4. Chicharito had a chance to win it in the latter stages but his shot just fell wide off the mark. Over 7.5 goals in a match, what else can you ask for.
MANAGER OF THE WEEK: Andre-Villas Boas (Zenit St Petersburg).
The Portuguese maestro is set to leave Zenit at the end of the season, and it seems he has found a formula that makes his team tick. Zenit are top of the in their Champions League group and also top of the standings in the Russian Premier League.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Arsenal (Barclays Premier League).
The Gunners had to beat Bayern Munich to keep their Champions League hopes alive and that is what they did as they beat the Bavarians 2-0 at the Emirates to get a priceless win.
COMBINED TEAM OF THE WEEK: 3-4-3
GK: Petr Cech (Arsenal).
Looking like the buy of the season as he has helped Arsenal keep valuable points since his move from West London. He kept Arsenal in the game against Bayern with his saves but and later Arsenal won the game 2-0.
CB: Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal).
"Kozza" as he is being called by the Arsenal faithful was top notch on the night Arsenal overcame Bayern. He did not get a foot wrong on the night and also in Arsenal's weekend fixture against Everton he scored a goal as Arsenal won the game 2-1.
CB: Raphael Varane (Real Madrid).
In a depleted Madrid team the young french center-back helped Real-Madrid to gain a point against PSG in Paris as they have still not conceded a goal in the Champions League.
CB: Younes Kaboul (Sunderland).
Now that "Big Sam" is in charge there seems to be a breathe of fresh air in the Sunderland camp. Kaboul looked like a different player as he heped Sunderland thrash Newcastle 3-0 in their derby game over the weekend.
CM: Cheikhou Kouyate (West-Ham).
He was the enforcer on the day for West-Ham as they beat Champions Chelsea 2-1 at Upton Park. Kouyate was a menace all day as he canceled out most off the Chelsea attacks.
CM: Ivan Rakitic (Barcelona).
The midfield general scored a brace as Barcelona got rid off Bate Borisov in their Champions League game last week.
AM: Dirk Kuyt (Feyenoord).

Scored his second hat-trick in consecutive weeks as Feyenoord beat AZ Alkmaar 3-1, which sees them joint top of the Eredivisie table.
AM: Pierre Emerick Aubameyang (Dortmund).
The Gabon forward scored a brace of hat-tricks during the week, one in the Europa League against Qarabag and the second against Augsburg.
ST: Harry Kane (Tottenham).
The England striker showed his form again as Tottenham beat Bournemouth 5-1. He scored a hat-trick on the day.
ST: Kevin Gameiro (Sevilla).
Scored a hat-trick as Sevilla thrashed Getafe 5-0 in their last La Liga fixture.
ST: Luis Suarez (Barcelona).
Was his turn to steal the shine as he scored a hat-trick in Barcelona's 3-1 win over Eibar.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Pierre Emerick Aubameyang (Dortmund).
He has become what we call a predator with his shot accuracy at 60% he has still scored twenty goals in eighteen appearances for Dortmund. They way he is going am sure he is hotly tipped for African Footballer Of The Year.
