Good day FPL managers. Welcome to Gameweek 27 of the Fantasy Premier League. After the cup break last weekend, it's good to have some league football back. Now this week is special as four teams will not be playing due to Liverpool and Manchester City's involvement in the Capital One Cup final on Sunday. So their respective fixtures with Everton and Newcastle have been postponed. So do remember to sell or bench players from those teams. All right let's get straight to business.
GK: Fraser Forster (Southampton FC)
The England international has been in amazing form since his return from injury and has been very instrumental in Southampton's rise to sixth in the log, just a point behind Manchester United. Expect him to continue this run of form against a Chelsea side that are still under construction.
DF: Nacho Monreal (Arsenal FC)
This seems a very odd choice considering Arsenal's struggles away at Old Trafford. The injury list at Manchester United and the return of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck should make this game an easy one for the Arsenal defence. Monreal should be able to gather the minimum six along with an assist.
MF: Dimitri Payet (West Ham United FC)
The midfielder is arguably their best player this season. He was sorely missed during his spell on the sidelines and he has impressed since his return. He is a threat from set pieces so he should get some points on the day against Sunderland who have been poor for most parts of the season.
FW: Troy Deeney (Watford FC)
The Watford captain has been in good form recently, stepping up as his strike partner goes through a goal drought. He leads his team against fellow newly-promoted side Bournemouth. Owing to his type of play, Deeney should get a goal or an assist on the day.
Captain's Pick: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal FC)
Very odd pick considering his form since he came back from injury, but the Chilean lives for big games and he should shrug off any cobwebs to bring an amazing performance on Sunday. He will be playing in front of a very weak Manchester United defence so hopefully he'll have a good match.
Well that's all for today. Come again next week for Gameweek 28 tips. Bye
