FOP's TOP 10 PREMIER LEAGUE PERFORMERS SO FAR.

The 2015-16 Premier League season has been a very interesting one with every team showing the urge to surpass their objectives for the season. Promoted teams have been impressive so far, with Watford showing more sense of creativity so far. As we are close to the Christmas season, having played 17 league games so far, I will be writing about the top 10 performers from the start of the season till date.

10. KEVIN DE BRUYNE :

Started the season very well and has been effective for Manchester City's prowess, the Belgian looks set for a great season in England after he left Chelsea some seasons ago. Very ripe and quality now which we had proofs for his top class performance in Germany, that form has continued in England where he has scored 4 goals with 6 assists in 11 premier league games so far. His quick adaptation to City's style of play has been remarkable. He deserves a spot on this list.

9. JACK BUTLAND :

English goalkeeper deserves a post here. He has been a quality player for Stoke so far. He has 7 Clean sheets this season. He has been the best goalkeeper this season and whenever he makes any howler, he is quick in correcting it. Golden glove nominee? Yeah.

8. ROSS BARKLEY :

The Youngster is having a great season too. Known for his skills and ability to move forward, he has 6 goals and 6 assists to his name and has featured in every game. Barkley has the ability to change games and has also been the key to Lukaku's performance this season. He has been quite consistent for a player at just 22.

7.VINCENT KOMPANY :

Kompany has been Manchester City's best player this season. Injuries have been the problem for the Belgian so far who has featured in just 8 games. He makes this list because of his hard work, and also he has bagged two goals in his 8 appearances this season. Manchester City have not kept a clean sheet this season without Kompany, that is more than a reason to tell you his importance to the team.

6. OLIVIER GIROUD :

Most people don't see the French striker as a top player, but he has shown that he is worth more than the amount Arsenal paid Montpellier for his services ( £12,000,000 ) three years ago. The born goalscorer  has been impressive this season too. Giroud has 10 goals in 11 premier league matches this season. Great statistics there!

5. ODION IGHALO:

Nigerian forward Odion Jude Ighalo is currently having a great season with new boys Watford. Last season, Ighalo finished fourth in the Championship top scorers chart with 20 goals last season. His partnership with captain Troy Deeney has been excellent and that form hasn't changed this season. Ighalo has 12 goals and 2 assists to his name so far and has been involved in 66% of Watford's 21 goals scored this season. He has been the main factor for the team at the moment where they surprisingly sit 7th on the table after 17 league games. Wow!

4. ROMELU LUKAKU:

22-year-old Belgian international has been exceptional so far. Having scored 13 league goals this season, he has also scored in 7 consecutive matches too; it shows that the highly-spirited forward has found the form he had when Chelsea signed him from Belgian outfit, Anderlecht. Lukaku is close to equaling Jamie Vardy's record and he doesn't look like he is going to stop scoring soon. Class.

3.MESUT OZIL ;

Mesut "Assist" Ozil as I call him has been excellent this season. Known for his passes and decisive through balls, the German has the most assists recorded in Europe's top 5 leagues this season. 15 assists in 16 premier league appearances deserves more credits than he is getting now. Only 5 more assists for Ozil to equal Henry's 20 assists for most assists in a single season; with 21 matches to go, you can be sure of him surpassing the Arsenal legend record.

2. JAMIE VARDY :

The English striker is regarded as many as a 'fighter' because of his determination, commitment and influence to his side's performance this season. Jamie Vardy broke Ruud Van Nistelrooy's record of most consecutive Premier League matches scored with 11 goals beating the Dutchman's 10. Vardy is currently the league's top scorer with 15 goals  , surely big teams will come knocking in the upcoming transfer window.

1. RIYAD MAHREZ :

The Algerian has been the top performer so far this season. Signed from French Ligue 2 outfit Le Havre for £350,000 two seasons ago, the 24-year-old has been in great form and has been the key to Leicester City's extraordinary performance in the league. Mahrez has scored 13 goals with 7 assists in 15 premier league appearances this season. He has been involved in 54% of Leicester's goals. He deserves top spot for this list.
